Vêtu: AI Wardrobe Stylist · Jashughatt Media Pty Ltd
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This policy explains, in plain English, what data Vêtu collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect as little as we can.
1.Who we are
Vêtu is built and operated by Jashughatt Media Pty Ltd, a company registered in South Africa and based in Johannesburg. You can reach us at accounts@jashughatt.co.za or via our website at getvetu.com. Jashughatt Media Pty Ltd is the responsible party (data controller) for the personal information described here.
2.What we collect
- Account information: your email address, provided through Apple Sign-In when you create an account.
- Wardrobe photos: the photos of your clothing and the photos you use for virtual try-on. You upload these. They are stored in Supabase and encrypted at rest.
- Usage data: how you interact with outfits, the tags applied to your items, and your cost-per-wear data, so the app can organise your wardrobe and improve suggestions.
- Subscription status: whether you are on a trial or a paid plan. This is handled by RevenueCat. No card or payment data ever touches our servers.
- Analytics: aggregate, anonymised product analytics via Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics 4, used to understand how the app and site are used.
- Session data: anonymised session recordings via Microsoft Clarity, used to find usability problems.
- Crash reports: diagnostic crash data via Firebase Crashlytics, used to fix bugs.
- Ad conversion signals: measured server-side only, through Meta CAPI, the TikTok Events API, and Google Enhanced Conversions. These receive a hashed version of your email only. We do not run client-side advertising pixels in the app.
3.What we do not collect
- No payment card data. Payments are handled entirely by Apple and RevenueCat.
- No App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt and no IDFA. We do not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- No third-party advertising tracking SDKs are bundled in the app binary.
4.How we use your data
We use the data above to provide and run the service, to organise your wardrobe and improve the quality of outfit suggestions, to send you transactional emails such as account and support messages (through Intercom and Brevo), and to measure how well our marketing performs so we spend responsibly. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles about you.
5.Data sharing
We share data only with the sub-processors we need to run the service: Supabase (database and photo storage), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Apple (sign-in and payments), Firebase (analytics and crash reporting), Intercom and Brevo (email), Sentry (error monitoring), and Microsoft Clarity (anonymised session data). Each processes data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell your personal data.
6.Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active, and for up to 90 days after you ask us to delete it, after which it is removed from our live systems. Your wardrobe photos are deleted on request through the in-app delete option (which calls DELETE /users/me). Backups age out on a rolling cycle.
7.Your rights (POPIA)
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email accounts@jashughatt.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable period.
8.Children
Vêtu is rated 4+ on the App Store but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where appropriate.
10.Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to accounts@jashughatt.co.za.
